Remote Answer with a Headset


Remote answer allows for calls to be answer and hung-up from a headset. In order for the functionality to work, the phone needs to support this and a new piece of hardware will need to be purchased. Some scenarios for this remote answer configuration are below:

Polycom

The models below allow for remote answer to be used on a Polycom phone:

  • VVX 300
  • Soundpoint 320/321
  • Soundpoint 330/331
  • Soundpoint 335
  • Soundpoint 430/450
  • Soundpoint 550/560
  • Soundpoint 650/670

In addition to needing on of the phones above, you will also need to purchase another piece of hardware called the Jabra Polycom Adapter (14201-17). This will then function with any of the Jabra wireless headsets on our website.

To set-up the remote answering, you also need to configure this via your phone following the steps below:

  • Enter the menu on your phone

  • Select Settings > Basic > Preferences > Headset > Hookswitch Mode > Jabra EHS

  • Press Save

  • Once the phone reboots, the remote answer will work.
