Automatic provisioning

Some phones that Conversant supports are able to be provisioned automatically. This allows the phone to automatically download a provisioning file from our server, eliminating the need to manually configure the phone. Provisioning the phone is easier than the manual process and also saves a large amount of time. For your specific phone type, please see menu options on the right of this page.

To speed up the process of provisioning, some changes may need to be made to your router. An example for a Cisco router can be seen below:

Log into the router web interface
Select config t
Select IP DHCP Pool Data - VLAN
Under option 66 enter
Cisco phones: For Linksys phones (e.g. SPA942), ATAs (e.g. SPA112), BLF or multi-line configurations

Select exit > end > copy > run > start
Phones which can currently be provisioned automatically can be seen below:

  • Cisco SPA series
  • Siemens Gigaset Phones
  • Yealink SIP-Txx Phones
